CustomleadZ range of screened mains power leads are made using the finest electrical cable and connectors available. The cable of choice for our pro audio screened power leads and power blocks is made by Lapp Kabel with a conductor size of 2.5mm. The condutors themselves are made from fine copper wire in accordance to VDE 0295 Class 5 / IEC 60228 Class 5 and individually sheathed with PVC. The 3 cores are then bound with a transparent plastic film and covered with a braided 90% optical coverage tinned copper wire screen and finally sheathed with soft flexible grey PVC outer sheath (RAL 7001). The connectors we use on the ends of this fine cable are from leading international companies such as MK, Wattgate and Furutech.

The power blocks (or trailing sockets as they are sometimes known as) we use are available with either 4, 6 or 8 U.K. 3 pin sockets and are housed in an isolated aluminium outer casing. We completely strip down, modify and re-build the power blocks to our own high standards using the same screened cable described above which is then terminated with the rugged and excellent MK Tough Plug. The screen from the cable is continued through the outer aluminium casing thus eliminating virtually all electrical bourne interference being emitted from either the cable and the block itself, thus producing what we believe to be one of the best power distribution blocks on the market.

For your safety and peace of mind, all U.K. power leads, power blocks & other electrical equipment manufactured by SurebuyZ bearing the CustomleadZ brand name are made in compliance with the latest electrical safety standards. Every lead is individually identifiable with its own serial number and is inspected and tested (PAT test). Each lead is then issued with its own individual test certificate confirming that it conforms to U.K. safety regulations and that it is safe to use.

It is recommended by the Health & Safety Executive that electrical equipment is inspected and tested at regular intervals to ensure that it remains safe to use. To this end, all electrical leads and power blocks made by SurebuyZ are guaranteed for a period of 1 year from the purchase date. This period can be extended by up to 5 years in yearly increments by returning the lead or power block to SurebuyZ each year on its purchase anniversary for a further visual inspection and test to be undertaken. Upon successful completion of the inspection and PAT test a new certificate will be issued which will run for a further 12 months.

There is a small charge to pay for this service plus the shipping charges at cost but it does extend your original guarantee for a further year (up to a maximum of 5 years) and ensures that your power leads remain safe to use. There is no obligation to use this service other than to extend the guarantee period.
