SurebuyZ / CustomloomZ range of bespoke hand made professional 25 pin D-Sub looms are made using Van damme green series digi grade 8 pair AES / EBU multicore cable which is terminated at one end with a standard density 25 pin male D-Sub connector fitted with gold plated pins and wired in accordance with the 'TASCAM' standard. For robustness and effective screening we house the D-Sub connector in a high quality 2 piece nickel plated metal hood. At the breakout end the tails are terminated with 8 x Neutrik NP3RX - 6.29mm (¼") T/R/S (stereo) right angle jack plugs with the breakouts / tails being approximately 30cm. long and over sheathed in black Pliosil with numeric channel id. laminated onto the tails just behind the boots. Additionally, coloured boots for the jack's are also available in 8 different colours as an optional extra. This option can be selected from the drop down menu below.

The colour coding for the jack boots corresponds to the following:

Channel # 1 = Brown ~ Channel # 2 = Red ~ Channel # 3 = Orange ~ Channel # 4 = Yellow ~ Channel # 5 = Green ~ Channel # 6 = Blue ~ Channel # 7 = Purple ~ Channel # 8 = Grey

The jack screws which we supply as standard with our D-Sub hoods are imperial UNC-440 but if your equipment demands M2.6 then these can be substituted free of charge if stated at the time of ordering. Alternatively if the screw size is not known then M2.6 can be purchased separately at the reasonable price of £0.40 per pair.

The connectors are professionally soldered using a lead free solder with a 4% silver content to produce what we believe to be the finest D-Sub leads available.
