75 ohm Plasma Grade Hi-Resolution Low Loss Video Coaxial cable

 

Although this cable has been developed primarily as a rugged and flexible video cable for the presentation, video and broadcast industries, it is also ideally suited for SP Dif digital audio transmission. The centre conductor is made from stranded ultra pure oxygen free copper (UPOFC) to produce a faithful and accurate information transmission. The conductor insulation is polyethylene which has a low dielectric constant and is particularly stable across a broad frequency range. The dielectric constant of a material is a major factor in the cables low capacitance whilst the stability helps maintain constant impedance. The type of polyethylene used also has a high crush resistance which ensures that the cables insulator keeps its shape when flexed resulting in less variance in the characteristic impedance of the overall cable. The insulated conductor is screened with a 96% optical coverage bare oxygen free copper braid and overlaid with a special non reflective anti kink PVC compound jacket.
